Speech Pathology

The Speech-Language Pathology Program provides individual
evaluation and treatment for all types of communication disorders.

Services:
--Speech-Language screenings
--Speech-Language evaluation
--Swallowing evaluation and
   treatment

The Language Intervention
Lab
at the Clinic serves young preschool children with communication delays
or disorders through the Language Intervention Lab (LIL). Although some children benefit from one-on-one therapy,
most young children respond optimally within a setting that is arranged for natural communication exchanges
that includes peers. Through child-centered activities that engage children, opportunities to communicate become functional and fun!

Accent Reduction


Speech Pathology Evaluation

Evaluation services are
provided to individuals of
all ages for articulation or
speech sound disorders,
language impairments,
voice disorders, problems
in fluency or stuttering, and impaired oral muscular
control. The assessment
typically includes
comprehensive testing and observation, interviews with the client and family members, and consultation regarding the clinical findings and recommendations.

Intervention programs
vary depending on the nature and severity of the communication disorder, the person's age and individual concerns.
Therapy may be scheduled for individual or group sessions with clients of all ages. Parents of children in therapy as well as family members or caregivers of adult clients receive information regarding the person's progress and
ways to facilitate communication skills outside the clinic.

Accent Reduction

For individuals with foreign
or regional accents, the Accent Reduction Program focuses on improving pronunciation, intonation, spoken grammar and use of the language.

Life Skills Communication Group

Our Life Skills Communication Group is a individual or group process for re-learning how to make life work again. Many young people and adults have brain trauma enter their lives.  Re-grouping after these serious events requires attention to the details of daily living in a new way.  Join us for the support you may need. You deserve
the full attention recovery requires for a return to your worlds of work, play and life.
